This is Morgan Jane. Her dad is a friend of mine from back in the days of Jr. High and High School. Eric and I have remained friends through the years, and when I first met Katie, his wife, I instantly loved the girl! She was so sweet, easy to talk to and the best woman for Eric. Eric & Katie welcomed Morgan Jane on December 9th, 2008. Morgan is a gorgeous, vibrant little girl and today I got to meet her for the first time. You see, Morgan was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1). This disease is terminal, and most babies dont make it to see their 1st or 2nd birthdays. After reading about this disease that I had never heard of, I was devasted to know that my friends and such an amazing couple would have to go through this. Today, was a wonderful day spent with Morgan, Katie & Eric. I sat at my computer,and through tears & smiles, I edited and looked at the photos of this beautiful little angel. She smiles, and is the most attentive and full of expression little baby…I am so thankful that I was able to do this for them. This is why I do what I do. For the moments like this. The ones for my dear friends and I know that they will cherish these forever. Katie & Eric….my love is outpouring for you beyond words. Here is a glimpse into the amazing photos taken today.
