I sometimes think about how lucky I am. Not only to have the job of a lifetime and photograph amazing people, but also to have the most amazing and fabulous friends. Tonya and Zane are two of these people. Tonya and I met in Jr. High….we went to different ones, but hung out quite a bit. Zane and I have been friends since the 7th grade. Our days at Irving Jr. High! He was “one of the boys”. After he moved to Iowa and finished up high school, and attended college there, we didn’t see each other much, but for the past 10 years its as if he never left. Tonya is one of my besties. Through thick and thin we have been by each others’ side. I will be standing up for her when she marries the man of her dreams and she will be standing beside me when I marry mine. We are so lucky to have the friends that we do. Seeing Tonya and Zane together for the past 8 years has been like watching these 2 wonderful people grow up together. Through the twists and turns that life takes us on, Tonya and Zane always came back for each other. It was meant to be.
Now, of course, I sit here through tearful eyes as I think of my friends. The two that will marry in May. The two that will share a love that is only explained by the laughter and the kisses and the sweet nothings.
And…the fact that these two are HOT!! I am not shooting the wedding as I would be no good trying to run around with a bridesmaids dress on. So, my amazing friend, Nicole will be shooting and I’ll be on the other side of the lens this time. I am so glad Tonya & Zane got to meet and hang out with Nicole and I today. I knew I had to do their engagement session…b/c I love capturing these moments for my dear friends. On to the photos! I can’t wait to get the slideshow up this week!!! Ton & Zane: You two are such a breath of fresh air and I truly love you both. T: You are such a strong presence in my life and I love you so much….I can’t wait for our girls trip to Cabo in about a month!!! Woohoo!!!
